  • Avoid over-exfoliating the skin around the area
  • Schedule touch-ups as desired every 12–24 months

Most paramedical procedures are a multi-step process. Sometimes, the final results cannot be determined until a few sessions have been completed. The touch ups are intended to fill in any discoloration caused by the scabbing + healing process. Everyone's skin is different so it's difficult to tell how the healing process will go

Frequently asked questions

is the procedure painful?

Most clients describe the sensation as mild to minimal — more like light scratching or pressure than true pain. A high-quality, topical numbing cream is applied before and during the procedure to keep you comfortable throughout.

Your comfort matters deeply here. Everything is done with care, slowness, and intention — so you can relax into the process and trust that you’re held.

How long do results last?

While permanent makeup is considered semi-permanent, results typically last 1 to 3 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and how well you care for your skin and follow aftercare. Over time, the pigment will gradually soften and fade, allowing room for touch-ups or adjustments as your features and preferences evolve.

Think of it as long-lasting enhancement that grows with you — not just a moment, but a phase of your becoming.

Is permanent makeup the same as traditional tattoos?

Not exactly. Permanent makeup uses specialized pigments and finer tools to create soft, natural enhancements on the face. Traditional tattoos go deeper into the skin with stronger inks for bold, lasting color. PMU is designed to fade gradually so your look can be refreshed over time.

What happens if something goes wrong?

We are all human, and mistakes do happen. One example is maybe a brow stroke is longer than the others. Because sometimes errors occur and pigment is implanted where we do not want it, I decided to get trained in emergency saline removal and regular saline removal.Often times, the pigment can be lifted 100% in the first session when applied at the time of treatment, and in some cases it may take a couple. Everyone is different.

Furthermore, PMU takes several passes to stay long term, so a single line that's outside of the area we are working on will likely come out on it's own anyways. But, better safe than sorry and apply some saline

You can feel confident that if something does go wrong, I have the tools to adjust it so we end up with exactly what we were going for - flawless PMU designed to last

How many sessions do i need?

Most clients need 2 sessions: your initial appointment and a perfecting session 6–8 weeks later. The first session builds your shape and color; the second refines it — adding depth, balance, or softness where needed once the skin has healed.

Some clients may desire an occasional refresh every 12–24 months to maintain their look as the pigment naturally fades.

what to expect during healing?

Healing is a gentle, layered process — and it’s completely normal for your results to evolve day by day. You may notice some darkening, flaking, or fading in the first 1–2 weeks. This is your skin doing its beautiful work. Color may look bold at first, then lighter or uneven before softening into its final shape.

Most healing is complete in 7–14 days, with full pigment settling around 4–6 weeks.

will the pigment face or change?

Yes — and that’s part of the beauty. Permanent makeup is semi-permanent, meaning the pigment will naturally fade and soften over 1–3 years, depending on your skin, lifestyle, and sun exposure.

The color may lighten gradually, but it should not shift dramatically if high-quality pigments and proper techniques are used (which I always prioritize). Regular touch-ups can refresh and maintain your desired look over time.
